Cyber Liability Coverage

Like many companies, your veterinary practice may use, store, send, or receive electronic information that may include agreements, revenue projections, and tax records. This information may also include information that belongs to other people, such as customers and employees, which may include information such as payment records and employees’ social security numbers.

If electronic information stored on your computer system is stolen, lost, or compromised, the cost of restoring it can be significant. Furthermore, you may be liable for damages to third parties whose information has been stolen. Your practice may also incur notification expenses for you to inform those affected by a breach. On the CVMA Insurance program, you have protection against costs associated with data breaches by having cyber liability included in your policy.

The CVMA Insurance Program provides you with an industry-leading Cyber Liability Package. However, an optional secondary package enhances the Cyber offering further by adding some additional coverage (for Extortion/Ransomware & PCI Fines) and provides increased policy limits to better protect against Cyber losses.
